Good spare part for my 03 5

Good spare part for my 03 5.4l. It comes with everything shown in the picture. The pads were put between the cardboard pads in the box.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • There are doubts

OE quality Good price

Excellent fit, same good or better quality than the OEM unit and cheaper than your local parts store. comes with gaskets and flange bolts but no spare bolts and nuts. They can be bought on site for around $8. And for the record, this was on a 2000 F-150 at 5.4 and the fit couldn't have been better.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • I will add later

The order arrived well packaged. Screws and seals were not damaged

The order arrived well packaged. Screws and seals were not damaged. The item is similar to the original. Although I haven't installed it yet, I don't see any problems installing it. I just have one question: why does it only have three rivets? The advert says it comes with a thermal protector, but it's not in the photo. When it arrived it had no heat shield.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

Fits perfectly. Comes with everything except 8 new rivets.

It's installed and works great! Man, what a lousy job! Be sure to order new studs for installation into the block. It comes with bolts only to connect it to the exhaust pipe. I already had rust spots so I sanded and brushed them off and then painted the whole thing black with 2000 degree Fahrenheit paint. Now it will probably never rust. It is better than Ford OEM quality and should last longer than the car.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Was damaged

Well my biggest nightmare was taking off the old one.

Well my biggest nightmare was taking the old one off, I managed without breaking a single bolt and then put the new one back in place using M8 x 1.5" stainless steel screws instead of bolts Used nuts that rust to zero. The frustrating part was I tried to buy bolts as nobody will tell you the size and I got these from my local Ford parts store. So just for anyone trying to install screws or bolt kits without letting us know the size remember it is M8 x 1.5 inch insert.

Pros
  • Solid finish
Cons
  • Some difficulties

The stock exhaust manifold on the driver's side has been replaced. .

Replaces the stock driver's side exhaust manifold. I have a 2002 Ford F-150 Crew Cab, King Ranch, 4x4 v8 5.4L. Weekend Mechanic Tip: Make sure the block/engine is cold before attempting to remove the original equipment nuts and bolts holding the manifold in place. Leave the truck overnight. Plan a time to work on it when the weather temperature cooperates (coolest time of day, e.g. 5:00 am). Don't risk the extra chance of breaking the bolt. Also spray penetrating oil the night before and often.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Boring packaging
