doesn't last. for engine parts

Lasted 8 months and started leaking oil! Lubricate all sides of the engine and the bottom of the jeep. Oil enters the tone wheel and through the drain hole.

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction
Cons
  • Expensive

Jeep Wrangler 2005 4.0

Bought this unit as a spare for my Jeep Wrangler 2005 4.0. But I've found the wave up and down play is too much, it's more than the Mopar block. Made in Taiwan. Came with nice packaging.

Pros
  • Very fast delivery
Cons
  • Slightly torn

I bought this product in August 2016.

I purchased this item in August 2016. Problems with him or her started in 3 months. Still need for adjustment. It broke after 6 months on the Autobahn and left me stranded.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Only available in white

Thrust washer can fail!

Attention! The thrust washer has disintegrated, creating enough play to cause codes and a crash. There is supposedly a way to prevent this, but do your research before you buy. Installed in 2006 Jeep Wrangler 4.0.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Repair

Don't buy, find a better brand/model.

I replaced the stock camshaft synchronizer with this part as a preventive measure, my jeep wasn't coding or making any ridiculous monkey noises. My LJ only started giving codes a few weeks after the replacement so I replaced the sensor with standard and still codes as suggested. Do not buy this part. Find the best brand.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Not the best

is a lot cheaper on Amazon than any parts store around me. Chrysler has discontinued this part, so aftermarket is required when replacing. The Dorman OPDA is said to be the solution to Chrysler's problem, it's probably 3000km so far so good. Obviously the sensor probably fails more often than the OEM sensor, but you can just take the OEM sensor and swap it over to a Dorman sensor if needed. I haven't had any problems yet. overall good product great price

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old
