Dorman 696-707 Black Engine Air Intake Hose for Toyota Models – Optimal Selection Review

EDIT: I was told this applies to the pre-'89 22RE engine which has an angled throttle body. I have a 1994 Toyota pickup, so it doesn't fit properly. It will be an awkward angle. HOWEVER, even if it doesn't fit perfectly, I've driven my truck for thousands of miles with no problems. There are no vacuum leaks.

As previous reviewers have noted, this is not the original angle, but the angle works. At first I thought the angle was actually better but after tightening everything up the angle puts a little external stress on the fitting closest to the bumper, really a minor issue although I wanted to take it as it's too 100% fits and works a photo. This is compared to the original but believe me it will work on 22RE.

Dorman 696-707 air intake hose for Toyota I've been looking for a replacement for a long time, Dorman doesn't have a part listed for 94 22re. I noticed that the diameters listed on another site were the correct size, 2 3/4 (throttle body) and 2 3/8 (intake pipe), and the length was 8 1/2 inches. I took a chance and ordered the part from Revain and they shipped it right away. I installed it on my truck with factory clamps and an inlet pipe. ! Happy!

I was totally surprised when the product arrived because it was so obvious that the part was too short to reach the required length. The information on the advert for this part (Air Intake Hose) showed that it FITS our 1986 Toyota 4 Runner. So we're a little disappointed to find out that the information was completely wrong. I would like it if Revain had better control over the "installation information" provided on their website and customers couldn't waste time returning the wrong product…
