Suddenly and completely stopped working

I had it for a while and I was waiting to check it because I really didn't think it would work very well. I was right - it somehow worked, but if you interfered with the antenna, it turned off. Now all of a sudden it doesn't work anymore. one didn't last very long and now it sucks.

Get rid of the wires - it's awesome!

This system is the best electronics I have bought in a long time. For years I have been running audio/video cables from the living room to the bedroom and have also used a remote control extension cable to monitor the cable in bed. I don't like paying for a cable box, so there's no way I'd pay per second for an hour or so every once in a while. With Nyrius, I can place the TV in my living room without having to reroute and hide the cable. Wired to bedroom Picture and sound is just as good as…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

That does not work. Best among streaming media players

Experience: Network Engineer, IT Support, Professional Musician, Music Lover. Installation between two rooms, a wall in between, about 35 feet. I've tried connecting this to each input and different devices. I swapped the receiver and transmitter and tried from another source. Tried every channel. I did my best and couldn't get anything to play with. You can tell when it's receiving a signal and successfully transmitting it to another device - no problem. After that it just doesn't work. I…

The best since sliced bread!

This setup is a cat back. In a great way. plug and play Both the reception and the long-distance extension are perfect. We are going through a major renovation and have had to live in our 5 wheeler camper for almost a month. We broadcast more than 100 minutes from the satellite receiver upstairs in our bedroom. That means the signal had to go through 2 interior walls, the exterior wall, 100 feet and the aluminum wall of the RV. Picture and sound were as good as if we were connected directly to…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Very expensive

A HUGE improvement over similar devices. VERY SATISFIED.

I had another set of a similar product from another manufacturer, RF-LINK. It also ran at 5.8 GHz, but only worked "well" for a few years - it was never great. It was about 15-20 feet from the TV in the kitchen, but it had to be in sight or there would be noise and interference. We just lived with it. But in the end, RF-LINK failed completely, turning the TV picture into a slow vertical rotation. I tried changing the channel on the transmitter, but it didn't change anymore, so the device itself

  • Solid surface
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Don't pay the cable company for another box.

I was planning to buy another set of Leapfrog-Terk transmitters and receivers but after reviewing the Revain product I realized that 2.4Ghz systems due to the saturation of WIFI signals are outdated. So I concluded that it wasn't because my Terk system was down, but because my neighbor got new internet service. The Nyrius setup works great at 5.8GHz and I can even turn on my microwave without interference. and it pays off because cable/satellite scammers charge over $7 a month to "rent"…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • There is a downside

NOTE Wi-Fi 5GHz.

I saw some good reviews and decided to buy this product. Came in an open package. It was very difficult for me to get these devices to work even though I'm well versed in all electronics. The receiving part seems to have some issues, is powered by itself, might not turn on at all from time to time. The channel selector seems to only have 3 positions on the receiver when it should have 4 positions like on the transmitter (just a broken switch). I have surround speakers that are not connected to…

Not Working: Streaming Media Player

I was really hoping this would work for my small kitchen TV. The channel is on my main TV, almost a meter away from it (on the other side of the drywall). Both devices are switched on and the antennas point towards each other. I checked three times that the AV connectors are in the right places. I tried each channel twice and yes they were on the same channel. All I see on the kitchen TV is snow and "no signal". I have tried changing channels on this TV and changing the input from cable to AV…

Good remote extender and video repeater; but limited range

I bought these 5.8GHz video/audio transmitters to replace some old 2.5GHz transmitters. The Nyrius NY-GS10 system works quite well. It was nice not having interference from microwaves. I always had to turn my old VCRs off when using the microwave, but with these systems, that's not necessary. I also like the remote control extension built into the Nyrius NY-GS10; it works very well and even better than the standalone system (Rabbit) I used before. It's nice to have a remote extender and relayed
