I didn't like the bright white "Made in China" label in the middle. Everyone automatically thinks "cheap!" It took a day to wipe it down and spray white the entire outside before installation. Otherwise it serves its purpose. Change differential oil. That has probably never happened before. My old oil smelled like street murder!

High-quality basic housing. Made in China. What is not now. The main reason for my review is to test this work on Jeep Cherokee models with an 8.25 rear. It doesn't show up when you use the Jeep Cherokees search filter feature and says it doesn't fit the vehicle. Only expensive ones come up. I don't spend a lot of time looking under the back of my Jeep and I don't need to impress anyone who might be standing behind me, so I don't need a fancy, expensive finish.

The powder coat finish is nice and smooth but having just applied it I can't comment on how durable it is. The cap looks as good or even better than the one I replaced which was badly corroded. Inside was a magnet to catch small metal particles so I didn't have to change the old one. Installation was very easy coupled with the new Lube Locker gasket. No more scratching the RTV, definitely the longest part of the install was removing the old cap and RTV. I hope this holds up against corrosion…
