Hugh saves money! - Staples and Parts

The store asked for $900 to replace the straps on my 1997 Chevy S-10. My daughter and I switched them in less than 30 minutes and saved! Thanks

Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

The perfect replacement. Don't forget to buy lower bushings!

Excellent product! I am very happy with them. A limitation. When replacing the brackets I found that 2 bushings, the bottom and the top, needed to be replaced. This kit includes the top only. Be sure to buy the one below.

Pros
  • understandable even for old people
Cons
  • annoying

Fits first gen S10

Perfect fit for my first gen 1985 Chevy S10, although it is listed as only fitting the newer generation S10. I took the sprocket off because I was having trouble with the bolt threads. The nuts stuck to the threads of the bolt before it was fully tightened. Using an extra washer solved this problem. If you buy this, get some extra washers.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Almost never

great product as always from Dorman!

Easy to install when you need to use an elevator. If not, it can be difficult depending on how rusted the screws are. If you have a two-door Blazer, the fuel tank seams where they were originally welded will interfere with the bolts. I had to carefully fold the seams on both sides. I left 2 sockets in the frame that I didn't use. I also bought 2 because it's difficult to make just 1.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Replacement Availability

Solid item, perfect fit

Price was good, parts delivered quickly. Removing a rusty old part can be a hassle, but installing this new part is a breeze as it fits snugly and comes with new nuts and bolts. The included bushing is for the frame, not the spring. The bolt normally jams in the spring bush bushing. I was able to pull mine out with some heat and an air hammer. This part can be improved by using both bushings. I am an ASE Master with over 25 years of experience.

Pros
  • Nicely packaged
Cons
  • Can't remember

Fits perfectly! at Shackles & Parts

Perfect for 1998 Chevy Blazer. Removing the old one was a pain. I had to break the bushing on the spring to get it off so I used the bushing that came with the spring. It fit perfectly and after looking at the photos they looked exactly the same. Lets see what happens. The work took about two and a half hours. What bothered me the most was the pin and bushing from the spring and the nervousness of the truck falling on me. I used jack stands and two jack stands to raise and secure it. I've never

Pros
  • Looks great
Cons
  • Some bugs
