Great product for the price

Great product for the price. I replaced the rear springs and replaced the factory rusty mounts. This product has been said not to fit 97 f250 but it does. The model is said to match the 97 f250 and is priced at under 8800 pounds, too light for this truck.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Good but not great

Good mount. Wish the hardware was different

Great fit. Thicker metal and better design than the original Ford bracket. There is a drain hole. The only reason for its 4 stars is that they had to send bolts that don't use lock nuts. It would be easier to install if conventional nuts were provided.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Socket required

A good alternative to the OEM, no complaints

This clamp/hanger kit has become a good replacement for Ford parts that have been quite rusty for 20 years and is a lot cheaper than the OEM. It's strong and appears to be well made. The bracket/hangar kit is finished in gloss black, but several of these broke off during the tricky installation (not Dorman's fault). I painted wherever there was bare metal so hopefully they will last 20 years too. My car is a 1995 F-150 4x4. .

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • A few little things

Using an oxyacetylene torch reduces installation time to about an hour.

Fixed a rotten rear suspension on my 1995 Bronco. Youtube shows many people using grinders to remove rivets. I used an oxy acetylene cutter and then a punch to punch out the frame. I then used a heating tip to burn through the rubber bushing. The outer metal part of the rubber bushing is still clamped by the spring. You can carve it, but I've found it's much quicker and easier to use a cutter head and gouge it.

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Perfect for 4x4 1996 F150

Perfect for 4x4 1996 F150 4.9L pickup. It's a lot of work, but doable if you've got hands. I still had to drain and replace the gas tank as it was leaking which gave me room to get under the truck and remove the rivets on the suspension bracket. There are four of them on each side. I used an angle grinder to grind down the heads, they still wouldn't pop out so I drilled each one starting with a small piece until with each large piece the hole was as big as the rivet pin and then the rest of the

Very impressed with the parts

They fit my short '95 Ford F150 4x4 body perfectly. I installed an elevator and the bolts in my old struts had frozen and the struts and struts were very rusty. By design, the bracket must be removed to remove the frozen bolt. For the price it wasn't easy. I didn't have to remove the bed or drop the gas tank to install it. I managed to cut off the old rivets with a grinder and knock them out with a hammer and punch. I managed to screw in all the screws and tighten them with a little finesseโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
