Junk item with known defects that Dorman will not repair

You can purchase this and it will most likely fit. It fits perfectly in my 2002 Dodge Dakota. The problem is that you have to buy a new one every few months or at most once a year. They use cheap plastic clips to hold the entire cable, motor and rail together. These break every time. I've bought 6 of these in the last two years to replace the broken ones. I'm only buying them here because the dealer is asking $600 for one. Dorman knows this is a problem, and there is ample evidence to support…

Good luck with the warranty support

DO NOT BUY FROM AMAZON/DORMAN SHOP ON AMAZON See if you are familiar with the design of this part you will get 4-5 years of it if your car is exposed to it extreme temperatures and that's it, so get used to it. Dodge has a terrible power window design, not if it breaks, but when. It doesn't matter if you buy a Mopar part, a TLC part or any other part, the design is the same for all. Give your new regulator a chance!

I really think this Dorman power window assembly is good value for money, overall good quality and a good match to original parts, but I gave 3 stars because it has a built in defect that affects its Lifespan severely limited. If you are reading this, most likely your regulator has failed and the window has fallen in the door. This has happened to me 4 times on the driver's window.
