Quality construction and quiet operation

Replaced both regulators in my '88 Ford F-150. The noise of the engine during operation is almost inaudible. I glued some 1/4" torx nuts to the back of the regulator's mounting holes to make installation easier since space and access in the door is limited.

Worthy replacement

Although I've only had it for a few days, this part seems like a worthy replacement. Tip: You can't just use the motor, you need to replace the whole unit! Only my engine failed and I didn't want to mess with the rivets. Too bad you break off rivets if you want to use this product. That's why I think it loses a star.

The engine can be converted to the old operator's position

I was a little surprised to find the gearbox was ABS plastic and the engine assembly was turned up instead of down like the OEM. The latter caused installation problems since the speaker in the 1994 Ford F250 ALT is centimeters away from it and obviously sticks to the engine. The operator comes and seems to work fine. Let's see how the switch to a plastic gearbox works. The previous operator was an OEM from January 1994 and the gearbox failed.

They sent me the wrong Build

The part number on the box was correct and exactly what I ordered but what was inside was wrong. The box looked like it had been hit by a pile of 20 cars and then an ambulance. There was also tape on the box to match the tape holding the box together, so I'm guessing the seller left it that way. I took it out of the box only to find it was a design to fit the other side of my truck! I really only needed to get the engine fixed so I rebuilt the factory engine that was there with a couple of…
