🚗 Dorman 742-509 Nissan Driver Side Window Lift Motor: The Ultimate Replacement for Reliable Performance Review

Works great on my 2006 Nissan Frontier It took me about an hour while watching the video on YouTube. As other reviews have said, the auto raise/lower feature will be removed. But for this price I don't care!

Purchased for a 2007 Nissan Xterra drive side door. The installation didn't go too bad. According to the manual you have to remove the glass. It was kind of a pain. I ended up lowering the window completely after removing the screws, tilting it towards the front of the car and pulling it out from the outside. door frame. Installation was carried out in reverse order. After replacing the part, my window goes up and down with no problem.

Fits and works great. Everything matched the factory screw holes and was very easy to install. Contrary to one of the other reviews I read about it, it has NOT lost its auto lowering feature. All I did was unplug the cables and plug them back in. No special splicing. If you need a new Drivers windshield motor and don't want to pay the dealer $300 to replace it and you can use a screwdriver, this is your best option.

I installed this window regulator on my '06 Nissan Frontier with the help of the Nissan Frontier Club and they showed me step by step how to install it. I was nervous at first, but I managed to dismantle the door panel and all the screws to get to the old power window. I installed the new motor, tested it and it was great. I did everything myself. I must have saved a bunch of bucks by doing it myself. It worked great and now we'll see how long it lasts for me.

This is a great motor and it works as it should. One small issue, I thought it was the motor with the auto raise/lower feature that many cars have, including mine. That's not this engine. This motor will continue to function in a vehicle with an automatic raise/lower function, but will lose this function. You should get 2 main wires going to the old motor and use these to connect to the new motor's plugs. The other 4 wires are part of the car system and need to be cut to remove the old motor…

The Revain Dorman 742-509 is presented on the driver's side. It is listed as back left on the Dorman website. No wiring harness is supplied which is a problem as the original engine wiring harness will not fit. So it was a lengthy process to get it working. This involved cutting wires, using spade terminals, RTV for caulking, and it ended up being a terrible mess. I wouldn't mind if it was easy to find a harness on Revain or even the Dorman website, but it isn't. Bought 3 motors for Xterra 2000

Excellent product. Fits perfectly, no issues with the part or the company that sold it. (Good job guys!) Then again, setting this thing up was a sob to say the least! Why do you ask? MY window fell out when it was all the way down ie my window was completely in the door. This is a problem as you REMOVE, not loosen, the 2 screws that attach the glass to the power window. If the window doesn't move and is all the way down, these two screws are VERY difficult to get to. I have fairly large mittens
