Type of review

This $8 product has been renamed the Dorman (Dorman isn't as good as it gets). Product only lasted a week, do yourself a favor and buy an OEM drive. This saves you valuable time during the second exchange. Went back and bought OEM like I should have from the start.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Useless features

A bit noisy but works

This was a replacement with precise fit and functionality. It seems louder than OEM lock motors, but maybe it's just more powerful and faster. I disassembled the defective part and the small electric motor barely turned under power, so there were obviously winding faults (short/open -?) in the motor. I've read reviews of early failures, but that hasn't happened since I just installed it. So far, so good.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Very expensive

Fits well for 2008 Pilot SE but difficult to replace

Fits well for 2008 Honda Pilot SE - same as original. Installation is not easy and complicated. You will need to pull out the entire latch assembly after you pry off the door panel. Use plastic pry tools to make your life easier when removing the door panel. Also, removing the three screws can be a chore - mine wouldn't move so I drilled them out and replaced them with the Menards equivalent of SS 8mm x 16.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Perfect for 2001 Civic Ex 2-Door Driver Side

Perfect fit for my 2001 2001 Honda Civic Ex 2-Door The quality isn't the best but it suits me, it's quite difficult to remove those plastic fasteners that are connected to the door lock and door lock switch but I spray some oil on them and they quickly get lost, takes 1 1/2 hours to install, after that I'm sure I can do it in 30 minutes,

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Some issues

The quality isn't there.

Do yourself a favor and buy an original drive. I replaced one on my 2007 Odyssey and after a few weeks it started making an awful buzz. I was too busy to replace it with a new one and of course the return time had expired. I thought I was just broken, but apparently this is a common problem with these drives. I bought a second one thinking maybe I didn't get it right. Now I know I'm not the only one having the same problem. We give back both the new and the old as gifts.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Expensive

Matching part for the job but never installed

I purchased a Dorman 746-302 door latch actuator while converting my CR-V for sale. I tried taking the door apart to install it but couldn't complete the task as it was quite difficult even with several YouTube videos showing the process. I've repaired many cars myself, but this one was one of the "fix one, break another" type of cars. I sold the car with the lock unrepaired and provided the buyer with a replacement part. He works with cars more than I do and he felt confident he could fit it…

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Fits

Works as expected: Part

I got this for a 2003 Honda Pilot. The price is half of what the seller asks. I installed it myself after watching a few YouTube videos. The screws that attach the lock plate to the door are very tight. Be careful not to take them off when you take them off. Make sure you can see the actuator being assembled with the spindles. Mine fell apart and I spent some time figuring out how to get all the pieces back together. Overall the job took about 2.5 hours, I had to take 3 photos of the assembly…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Worked as promised.

My 2004 Honda Pilot driver's door actuator has failed. I hesitated a long time before purchasing this drive, the only concern was whether it would fit properly. Purchasing the product itself from Revain was easy delivery and the product arrived a day earlier than the advertised 7 working days for free shipping. Part was in good condition. The difficulty was removing the old drive from the driver's door. The door panels came off very easily but thanks to a YouTube video I learned how to remove…

  • Problem Encountered

Happy Parts Customer

Bought this part for my friend's 2003 Honda Accord coupe and installed it. The driver's side also controls the function of the passenger's side. So if it doesn't work, the passenger side keyless remote is not working properly. Installed and everything runs like clockwork. Replacing this part is not recommended for a beginner wrench. The 3 screws securing the latch and actuator assembly may be damaged. You are here! The first night I worked on it, I almost cried after several hours of…
