Don't forget to raise or lower the window as needed prior to installation. It's pretty simple, but minimizing the window is KEY to getting it installed.

Product arrived as advertised; new, boxed, in box. The product works as expected. Dorman prices are comparable to other brands and the quality and durability of Dorman products are excellent.

The hardest part is removing the door panel. Once this is done it will be fairly easy to remove the old block and install the new one. The total time was about 45 minutes. This was also the second block I replaced but for a different door.

I thought it was the wrong part so I made it for the opposite side of the car. But when I flipped the motor so it was in the cable loop, it fit perfectly in the 2008 Escape's driver's door and worked as it should. Price beats Autozone by about $40.

Excellent stock replacement. At first I was crushed by the difference in the plug. But it connects directly to the original connector. It only has a 6 inch cable which makes it look different. The speed is slightly higher than the original and works perfectly. About 2 or 3 months. I would recommend this product.

I bought this on June 27th, 2019 and it broke on August 7th, 2021. The plastic pieces holding the metal window frame to the metal rail broke when I closed the driver's door. . I don't slam the door too hard when I close it, so cheap parts are probably the culprits. Item broke after 2 years and 39 days.

Purchased for a 2009 Ford Escape. The old ones broke the motor so I figured why not just replace the whole unit. The new Dorman just didn't seem powerful. To be honest I think it will be good for maybe a year or two before it breaks. However, it works out of the box, except that the window goes up and down quite slowly.
