Great product if that's what you need!

This is pretty much the only door lock stem of this type available without having to purchase the entire door lock assembly. I had to buy some needle tools to grind the bracket to fit my particular car door. But I knew that beforehand. Thank you for making this product available! Five stars for quality and price.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not bad

Does what it should!

I was pleasantly surprised that these door latches are sold separately. Ford went to such lengths to slit your throat trying to fix their disastrous door latch assemblies by charging over $150 for assembly, only EIGHT in a 4-door truck. That's $1200 in door latches alone! With a little time and effort you can replace all the doors for that much money.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Older model

WILL NOT FIT all 1994 Ford Rangers. See picture.

Apparently Ford used more than one type of door latch on a 1994 Ford Rangers. If your lock is similar to mine (see photo) it will not fit. These Dorman clips will only fit a Ranger with a lock barrel with a SCREW on the back to hold the lever/clip. If your clips snap on the back of the lock, Dorman will not make a replacement handle for that style of lock. However, a company called Auveco does. Part number 17119 should work with a different type of lock cylinder.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Works for Isuzu Rodeo!

I have a 2000 Isuzu Rodeo and the door wouldn't open from the inside. I removed the door panel to check the latch bar and everything seemed fine until I saw that the small clip holding the roof in place was broken. This clip held the rod in place and provided enough tension to open the doorknob. Since my rodeo is 20 years old they don't do a broken clip anywhere. I found this pack for $5 and decided to give it a try. The included clip fits perfectly into the hole and holds the pole in place…

Pros
  • Brings joy

Three Stars: Case and Cover

Good quality product. However, this is not a part that fits my 2003 Malibu as Revane notes. Now it's not Revane's fault. The part even claims to fit the Dorman website. I received documentation from a Chevy dealer with my VIN showing that my car actually has different parts on the left and right doors. The cut outs in the metal of the part in the photo do not match the factory part. Attached photos show the difference. Blue is a factory part. Now Dorman doesn't have a replacement part for it…

Pros
  • Ease of Use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide
