Review on 🚪 Dorman 75473 Automotive Door Component by Dave Moody

Good quality product. However, this is not a part that fits my 2003 Malibu as Revane notes. Now it's not Revane's fault. The part even claims to fit the Dorman website. I received documentation from a Chevy dealer with my VIN showing that my car actually has different parts on the left and right doors. The cut outs in the metal of the part in the photo do not match the factory part. Attached photos show the difference. Blue is a factory part. Now Dorman doesn't have a replacement part for it and the factory part is no longer made. Do I have to take a look at a scrap yard or at a locksmith's? The factory part is $15 if you can find it. Before that I secured with cable ties. It took 2. For those in this situation I've also included a photo of how I used the zip ties.
