Pin end reversed 10 mm.

The description tells you that you have a bubble flare on the 12mm plug end but no reverse flare on the socket side. Maybe include a picture of both ends or describe the product in full.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • confused

10mm female end - reverse flare. had to modify, ugh

The male end is a bubble flare (as stated in the product description) and the female end is a reverse flare (which is not stated anywhere). that would be good to know. I was lucky enough to have a drill press with a vise and a brand new drill bit, I couldn't imagine hand drilling it. It would be great to include photos of both mating surfaces to show the type of mating and/or reference both surfaces in the description. I'm only giving 2 stars because I was able to pierce it to get it working…

Pros
  • replacement parts
Cons
  • reamed package

Replacing the master cylinder on my W124 chassis requires a modification

As another reviewer mentioned the 10mm socket is not machined for a bladder expansion caliper. It needs to be modified (with a drill) to properly seal the Bubble Flare port. The problem is that because the part is brass, it has a "brittle" finish and it's difficult to get a good enough finish for a hydraulic seal with a hand drill and vise in your garage. just know Otherwise, it seems to work well as an adapter. Two stars for an important Mi representation of the play!

Pros
  • Hoses, lines and fittings
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Cons
  • You could choose a newer model.

Not properly described

Large male end is correct but inner M10 end is reverse flared. I had to cut a brand new end of the line and extend it back to the correct inverted flare to make it work. I bought this because I called Dorman and they even told me on the phone it would burst a bubble for both parties! I had to have this ending so I made it work, but shame on you DORMAN, THIS IS FALSE AND FALSE ADVERTISING FOR THIS ARTICLE!

Pros
  • Many different types available including long, double and tubular
Cons
  • Gear Set

I've had it work fine for hoses, lines and fittings

Attempting to build a custom brake system using metric bladder fittings proved successful harder than I thought. One of the last things I needed was a 12mm to 10mm adapter. It looked like that, but unfortunately it wasn't. While the male and female threads were correct, 12 turned out to be a bubble and 10 an inverted flare. Using a 21/64" drill bit, I machined the tapered saddle into a concave profile that would work for the job. Bubble ends seem to be the trend with modern systems and I was…

Pros
  • Available individually and in variable quantities to help with both small and large projects
Cons
  • Older model
