🚪 Dorman 901-405 Front Driver Side Jeep Door Window Switch: Compatibility with Select Models Review

This is a much better product than the Switch Doctor version. I have previously had dr. Bought the Switch and it fell apart and stopped working. So far, Dorman has worked and solved all of my problems I've had with a cheap replacement part.

My window latch switch was removed and the dealership charged $$$ to replace the OEM master switch. After some research on Google I bought this device. It looks 100% like my factory unit and fits perfectly. I now have fully functional switches again and am very happy with how much I saved.

This was a simple replacement for my factory unit that was no longer working. FYI, the mirror arrows backlight is a slightly different shade of green while the window turns on like mine. I didn't care, but I wanted people to know. I would buy it again and would recommend it to anyone with a bad master switch.

Bought to fix a friend's jeep. She lived with windows that didn't go up and down and door locks that didn't work. This worked very well and fixed most of the issues. The passenger door latch assembly also needed to be replaced, but could not be purchased from Revain. The dealer's part is worth more than the part for a quarter of the feature.

Mirror adjustment knobs stick and sometimes don't return to center. All of the switches control the mirrors and windows they were designed for, so at least it's an improvement over my old, untrustworthy window switch. Update August 2018: It's been over two years and it's still working.

I bought these after someone found out about this switch on a Cherokee forum. This is a very common problem on 97-01 Cherokees (the windows only work from the driver's door) and not wanting to spend nearly $200 on a Chrysler part on a 14 year old truck, I took a chance and ordered this for about 1/4 the cost. Fits perfectly and works like the original when new. I recommend this as a viable Chrysler alternative for a lot less money.

but now the power windows work but the driver's side mirror only adjusts one way. After disassembling the old part, I came to the conclusion that it's too complicated, but that's Chrysler's fault, not Dorman's. Using a simple switch design instead of built in electronics would be much better. Other reviewers rated it non-functional and sent it back for replacement. The switch is easy to install after removing the door panel. I have a problem: the new switches are EXTREMELY stiff and difficult to operate. My wife complains that they shouldn't be that hard to push/pull (power windows). I'm not sure if they "loosen" over time (never happened before on a new machine or derailleur). Because I needed to replace the driver's side power window I installed a new master switch assembly in the door panel. The only difference is that the old one says "Made in Mexico" and the new one says "Made in China". So much for NAFTA!
