🔧 Dorman 902-210: High-Quality Thermostat Housing Assembly for Ford Models Review

For my 2010 Stang V6 The part was easy to install but one of the hose fittings (bottom) was a problem. The leak has stopped and is still working great. The installation took 2 hours.

2 months later and still works great! Saved me so much money and was easy to install on my 2006 Ford Mustang v6, just watched a youtube video to go through it. Update: Leak after 2 years but will only buy one more

The body is perfect for a 2006 V6 Mustang. All rubber seals included including o-ring for temperature sensor. A NEW THERMOSTAT is already installed in the KIT. The only thing you need is a new temperature sensor, but that's not necessary. AMAZON, please update the DESCRIPTION of this product.

Aside from the included sensor o-ring which is too thick to fit the factory sensor in a new housing, it seems a perfect fit for an OEM replacement. I ended up using an old O-ring - not really recommended :) - and it fit perfectly and sealed perfectly. But despite grease, heat, pressure and lots of verbal encouragement, the sensor would not install with the supplied (too thick) o-ring.

Better than OEM, much cheaper. Not sure how much better time will tell but for the price I'm more than satisfied. This item is easy to replace. Don't go to the dealer if you're paying someone because when I went it was about $800 the first time it failed. Never. The general rule that OEM is better than aftermarket doesn't apply to this part. Motor vehicles are known to be problematic. When that doesn't work, I resort to the metal version, which is much more expensive (around $200).

So far so good Fitted today - took about an hour on my Mustang V6, came with gasket/o-ring and thermostat. Ready to install! Fast and easy. The sensor was not included, I used the old one. So happy! The cars sat for about a month because I couldn't figure out where the coolant was coming from! The thermostat housing was to blame. I'm glad it wasn't anything else and I saved about 700.00 thanks to someone who installed this part in Firestone! (Fast Next Day Delivery**)

2006 Mustang 4.0 Install. Dismantled to check on arrival. The part appeared to be fairly well made although there was corrosion on the formed metal parts. Insufficient problem for return as it did not affect the operation of the device. Bolts lubricated and reassembled. I'm not sure if the sensor's mounting hole is too big or if the old sensor's o-ring is worn out, but there was a significant leak from the sensor. Adding another o-ring solved the problem. Others appear to have ordered…

Useful. But. A word of warning to the people there. It is not an exact replacement for the 2007 Mustang V6 app. What is different? Holes for water temperature sensor. If you want to place the sending device in the same place as the source device on this part, make sure to move the connector. The original device did not have a plug on the other hole because the hole was covered. In this part this hole is open. You must either install a temperature sensor in this hole (leave the plug where it is)
