Fits perfectly on my 1998 Nissan Pathfinder

These bushings fit perfectly on my 1998 Nissan Pathfinder. Not the easiest part to install, but not the hardest either. My driver's side bushing was broken and this part fixed it like new.

Pros
  • Rack and pinion
Cons
  • Not sure

Installation was ok: rack and pinion

On my 2002 Nissan Elgrand APE50, both bushings fit almost exactly on the strut as the standard bushings. After installing the brackets that hold the rail, the "odd" shaped bushing looks like it was pushed out after being split in half as shown in the third photo.

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • Empty

Works well as a replacement for OEM

Fit and finish is good. I doubt how long the stuff will last if soaked in motor oil and/or power steering fluid. Let's be realistic, our cars age and many of them lose fluids. I had to replace the original kit due to engine oil soaking the passenger side bushing with engine oil. The original shell became spongy and soft.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Dorman quality. - Steering system

Arrived on time in good condition. I've always had Dorman quality. So far, these sockets have proven themselves very well. Update after two years. I have changed these bushings twice in the last two years. They cannot withstand an oil spill. I assumed they will rise since they are polyurethane. They are either not polyurethane or of poor quality. Very disappointing Dorman products.

Pros
  • Support bushes
Cons
  • Negative present
