Good part, but maybe not your problem. Read more

This is the correct part for my W203 if you have a transmission oil leak especially in your control box it could also be the circuit board which has been known to crack inside and the fluid is leaking through the wires . Therefore, if this does not solve your problem, you should replace the transmission oil and the conductive plate. Not very expensive and relatively easy to make.

A leak! If I could give zero stars I would.

This item did not fit as an OEM. It was a lot of wobble for him. Luckily he was in my driveway when he let go. I think. I lost a few liters. I went to an MB dealership and got an OEM. The fit is much tighter with no side-to-side wobble. I have several thousand miles on the MB block without a single drop. I will never buy Dorman again. It's not worth risking your $30,000 RV to save a few bucks.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • If in doubt

We are a Mercedes store, we use these all the time. As far as I know there are only 3 manufacturers (OEM? , Uroparts and Dorman) This is a good connector, the quality is much higher than Uroparts (the seals on it are too flimsy and leak all the time) and it actually requires a bit of force to insert (which is a good thing, what makes the seals very effective)

Would save if it fits.

Everything was fine but the o-ring was too big and didn't let the whole piece fit in place. I even put some gear oil on the o-ring and it still wouldn't slip so I took the loss and went to the Mercedes dealer and bought the genuine part and y'know it slipped perfectly. I wasted a whole day playing around with this part that didn't fit, some parts are just better to use with OEM and get the job done right the first time saving you time and headaches.

Perfect replacement for leaky plug 722.6

This is a quality replacement part that I used to fix a transmission leak. The plastic part was solid and installed exactly like the OEM part it replaced. The OE plug could have been reused if I had relocated the o-rings, but the Dorman part looked well made so I decided to replace the OE plug. It also came with an o-ring that had to be installed on a plug that fits this socket. This was a nice touch as the only reason these connectors fail is due to the compression set that o-rings have…
