Get ready to replace

original lasted about 12 years, these died about every two years. unfortunately not much replacement for a 20 year old car :(

Pros

Cons
  • flimsy

Ease of installation. on salon switch

The turn signals no longer work. Dashboard lights worked but did not blink. Read that replacing this part was the solution. and it WAS a solution. Easy to install, plug and play. Good.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Perfect replacement

This part is exactly the same as what came factory installed on my car and I am very happy with this unit. It was sent to me in great packaging, arrived in perfect condition and on time, and was only $26 with change. It took me about 30 minutes to take the dash apart and put this new part back in place and my turn signals have been working great ever since.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Fits

Hazard light switch fixed a general problem

I had a problem with intermittent blinkers and this solved the problem. This is an exact copy and easy to install yourself rather than at the dealership. This is the part the dealer wanted to replace for over $200 and said it was difficult. I'm very glad I did it and the turn signals are working properly again. This is a very common problem with Grand Am turn signals and the root cause.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • I really don't like it everything is fine

I ordered this to stop blinking on my 2002.

Ordered this to stop the blinking noise on my 2002 Pontiac Grand Am. It didn't stop the noise completely, but it did help. A little over a week ago my turn signals stopped working because this part failed. It lasted a little less than 1 year. For that I give 3 stars. I can't complain too much because it temporarily solved my problems (and it was cheap) but I had to buy another one to replace this one a year later.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • old

Great switch! Meets expectations for the price.

Took out the old switch, installed this one. Only one minus. It has a slightly different sound than the OEM. Step a little"different". Although you might not even hear the difference. Also in terms of price, performance? Ha! I would buy and exchange this switch again in a heartbeat. I've been using it for about a year. Before the installation, I referenced an online video to learn more about the installation. No problems dismantling. No problems installing.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not trendy

Fixes turn signal problem

This solves a common problem on many GM vehicles. I have had two Grand Ams and had to replace this derailleur on both. If your turn signals don't work intermittently, try pressing the hazard button once or twice and if the turn signals work again (most likely temporarily), the problem is the hazard switch. With both of my Grand Ams, the problem started after just over 100,000 miles. This is a very simple solution. Just google "Grand AM Hazard rear derailleur replacement" and you'll get plenty…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

Ok but OEM is better

This kill switch works fine and resets the turn signals but I'm having a few issues with this unit. First, the color of the button is wrong. This button color is lighter than the default color, which doesn't really matter, but looks out of place. I reused my original button, it just doesn't click. Next, I wish they hadn't used an LED to light up the switch when the rest of the car uses incandescent bulbs. The thing is like a spotlight over the radio, it's damn bright and again it looks out of…
