Fits perfectly. on electric door lock

Perfect fit. Works perfect. Installed on the driver's door of the VW Jetta. The original switch opened the doors after I got out of the car. Now everything is in order.

Works great, worth the extra price

I've bought several cheaper drives and they all had problems, the door wouldn't open or the door wouldn't open with the remote then I bought this one it's more expensive but it works, light, connected to the lock works, courtesy, interior light that lights up when the door is open, everything works, and even the door ajar alarm sounds. Worth the extra money compared to the cheaper ones

Fixed but Failed: Electric Door Lock

I bought this product because my old one wasn't registered, it was unlocked and the alarm went off every time I opened the door or started the car. This product solved my problem but I believe the new part was defective. After I installed it, the alarm problem disappeared, but when I turn the lock cylinder to open the car with the key and return the key to its original position to remove the key, the doors automatically lock immediately. Overall, the most annoying problem has been fixed, but aโ€ฆ

This part will definitely fit and work just as well as an OEM part with a few exceptions. The latch plunger, as others have said, does not sit flush with the door molding in the latched position. It's okay, but for some reason it doesn't sit flush. Everything else works great, I didn't have to tweak the cables and the materials are the same as the OEM. The latch and latch body are metal, and the other body is plastic, same as OEM. For me it is worth the price. If you have a completely identical

Functional but OEM is better (installation wise)

To be honest it works and if you don't have OCD like me then it will more than meet your needs. I bought this and OEM VW for another door. Mechanical movement is not the same. When you latch the door on the OEM side, the plunger is almost flush with the top of the door panel (as it should be). This is not the case when using a Dorman drive. I took it apart three times but I couldn't put it down. Complicated door handle cable adjustment is also required. OEM is not a problem. With the Dorman Iโ€ฆ
