. Ordered this for my 2001 Jeep Cherokee. I couldn't find this part in stock locally. It was a lot cheaper than I can find anywhere else could on the internet. Item arrived on time and works great. (Original was made in the USA. Unfortunately the replacement was made in China and yes I would happily pay a little more for a Made in USA!)

Pros
  • - the part was simulated to government guidelines.
Cons
  • Crumpled

Fits great, but doesn't match the OEM part.

I installed this on the driver's side rear door of a 2001 Cherokee Limited. The original part was easy to disassemble and assemble. The first issue is that the OEM part had a hook to hold the button connecting rod on the door handle. It's not in this part. I had to make a loop of wire to keep the rod from bending to open the door from the outside. The second problem I had was that one of the plastic bar locks was installed on the wrong side. I had to take it out and change it to get the crank…

Pros
  • Long Term Repair - Cycle tested in a real car door confirms performance for many years
Cons
  • Some minor things

Looks solid in spares

This is my first time replacing a door lock actuator but it was intimidating as there wasn't enough room to work but just needed Time, old 1 made an annoying buzz. Start by gently pulling the protective plastic sheet out of the way, after removing the trim, separate the green clips from the rods (you will need to remove the screws holding the window guide ((make sure the window is fully seated raised before disassembling )), remove the drive bolts, carefully thread them around the window rail…

Pros
  • Reliable replacement - this door lock actuator has been extensively tested for quality and safety
Cons
  • Negative impression
