🔧 Dorman 970-098 ABS Wheel Speed Sensor incl. Harness Review

Quick and easy installation using standard hand tools. Time to clean/repack the wheel bearing as the entire hub has to be removed to access the wheel sensor. Good price compared to local auto parts stores.

This product was the solution to my faulty ABS wheel speed sensor right front which was causing my ABS light to come on and activating the ABS module at low speeds leading me to believe that my S -10 would not break this. Since installing the new sensor, there have been no more problems with the ABS system on my truck.

The sensor was much cheaper than the OEM, but the lower price comes at the expense of the need for small adjustments. One of the screw holes was too small and had to be filed to get the screw through. The cable clamp was also the wrong size and had to be replaced with a factory clamp to tie the cables together. This added extra time to what should have been an easy installation. I think you get what you pay for. The device works fine and fixes the problem. Longevity remains to be seen.

UPDATE (04/12/21): The sensors only work about a year and the ABS light is on again. Ironically, I only replaced the front brake pads and rotors without even touching the sensors or cables. Let's not waste time troubleshooting or trying to clean the sensors like some people recommend. Ditch them and order a genuine OEM to save yourself headaches in the future. Revain indicates this product does not fit my car but I ordered anyway based on part number research. I went through the whole front end
