Replaces unused OEM nuts but they rust badly

These are great for replacing the broken OEM nuts that were on my car when I bought it. Update: They are rusting badly, will probably be replaced.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Hard to tell

2017 Lincoln Continental

The OEM chrome acorn nuts on my 2017 Continental looked tarnished and I've never been a fan of acorn nuts anyway as they tend to swell. Durable Chrome Dorman Nuts look 100% better. Longevity is not known yet, but so far I am very satisfied.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Retrofittable

Excellent quality in tires and wheels

Excellent one piece chrome nut kit. It fits perfectly on my 2016 Ford Mustang v6. I bought two sets of 10 to replace the nuts that originally came with the car and cost $100. I went to my local auto shop and they tried to charge me $200 for the exact same nuts. Great price on Amazon.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Frequency

Exactly what Ford/Lincoln should have supplied from the factory

The perfect replacement for Ford's poorly designed Original Equipment (OE) two-piece nuts. If you're considering replacing Ford/Lincoln two-piece lug nuts, don't wait until you have a corrosion and/or swelling problem. do it now. Photos on the left show the original two-piece nut, on the right a replacement Dorman 611-007 one-piece nut. Dorman nuts are slightly longer, but otherwise everything is the same.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Poorly designed

Solves Ford Nut Problem

If you have a 2015 Edge Sport with 21" wheels, you know the problem. The specs are insanely higher than what your manual says, please call the dealer's service department and the old nuts will be awful for a new rating. This is a slightly smaller hex, not a flimsy cap and the correct acorn cone size. Unfortunately very expensive.

Pros
  • GOLS Certificate
Cons
  • Protection

Discoloration within 6 months.

They appeared to be the best quality when received and should be stronger than the Ford OEMs which have a reputation for cap breaking and the tab being difficult to remove afterwards. I received them in August 2020, installed them in September 2020 and in less than 6 months half of them have changed color. I don't know why, I don't think they have a coating. I suspect rust in the photos. I thought the Dorman brand had a good reputation, apparently I got a bad batch, or maybe it's not really…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Was damaged

Adapted to 2015 Ford Edge SEL (4WD) **UPDATED DO NOT BUY**

Ford factory nuts on my wife's 2015 Ford Edge SEL (AWD) bulged out because they were a horrible two-piece design. They are on cars and SUVs from 2010 to 2016. These nuts looked good at first, but after six months in Maryland weather, they began to rust. I was hoping for a higher quality but this is a typical Dorman level automotive part. I wouldn't buy them unless you want to take them off every 6 months to clean with steel wool.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Excellent replacement for Ford Lugnuts

If you own a Ford and do wheel/tire repairs you will have a problem with swollen nuts with your factory nuts. Unlike factory Ford lug nuts that have a chrome shell that curls up after a few disassemblies and installs, these lug nuts are solidly built, solidly built and will solve any problems owners face just in time. No more blown nuts, no more fighting to replace the plate, and the wheel technician will thank you too.

Pros
  • Corrosion Resistant - Chrome design and removing the cap will prevent future rusting
Cons
  • Fits

definitely buy! on Lug Nuts

I have a 2016 Ford Edge. I ordered new tires and they didn't change them until I got new nuts because they were so swollen they were afraid they would come loose when installed. I swapped them out and had to hammer the nest in 8 of them. They are 21mm and some I had to hammer with a 22mm head. They are expensive but the quality is better than OEM. I would recommend people to buy these and wait in the spare tire area. If we broke down I would never change 2 tires and I'm a mechanic
