Didn't know brass corrosion

I was specifically looking for this for its resistance to rusting. Brass doesn't rust, and that's a misnomer. It wasn't that expensive so I gave up. Aside from the cost of the item, someone owes me labor as I installed all of these only to find that they are rusting and now I have to unscrew them and get the real ones that don't rust. πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅

Pros
  • 7/8" cup hook, overall length: 1-1/4"
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Fantastic value compared to local hardware stores!

We used them to hang a row of lights in our shaded porch (see picture). The wood was quite soft so these hooks screwed in easily after tapping the nail to create the first hole. They're just brass plated so hopefully they won't go bad too quickly. The 7/8" size was hard to find in large numbers at our local Home Depot, so I was glad to see it at such a great price here at Revain.

Pros
  • Ideal for hanging light items such as keys, light tools etc.
Cons
  • precarious

You get what you pay for.

72 Cup Hooks for $4.99 sounds ridiculous but I bought them anyway so I wouldn't have to go to Lowe's. The reason they are so cheap is because of the quality. The brass plate is rubbed down with pliers only for the last few turns. And with a pair of pliers, I bent a few with ease. I also found a few unopened boxes in just two of the boxes I used today, one with no strings and one already mangled. (See photo.). But despite the lack of power, I still used them because I only used them to hang…

Pros
  • Includes 72 Hooks
Cons
  • Doubtful
