You get what you pay for.

The cable tore a few centimeters after the eye when adjusting the e-brake 2 months after installation to 98 such. I wish I had bought an OEM so I didn't have to replace it all over again.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Expensive

Saved a lot of money between dealer and MOT

Fits my car perfectly which was nice as I didn't have to invent anything when installing. The instructions for connecting to the emergency brake handle could have been better. I figured it out and it works fine

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Everything is good except for a bad cast from the middle.

I'm only giving 2 stars because the molding was off center and I had to modify it to fit my '99 Tacoma. Unfortunately, I expected the job to be quick, but I had to spend hours filing the end to get it to fit. 99 Tacoma

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Some issues

Must be modified to match!

Installed this cable tonight. The set is terrible. The slots for the C-clips are too large (which can loosen the fasteners) and the O-clip needs to be filed to fit the parking brake anchor. Buy this if you're a cheapskate, buy an OEM part if you can afford it. 2004 Tacoma 4x4 with Extended Cab

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Empty

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Ok, but pay attention to the quality control

fitted my 02 add-on cab exactly, looked exactly like the one I removed. The tab that snaps into the cab at the end wasn't ground properly to hold the retaining clip. It looked like one side had been sharpened twice (2 corners in the cut) and the other not at all. It wouldn't have held securely unless I ground the kerf on the other side with an angle grinder. It only took 5 seconds but if I didn't have a coffee grinder I would have had to send the cord back.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons

A good product. Installation details here

Worked great on my 99 Tacoma 4x4 v6. There is a very important trick you can use to push the lever axle back far enough to make the cable pop out of position. In my first drawing you can see what you need to remove. The 10mm nut holding the brake sensor is not shown. You will see it when you are there. Remove the pin with pliers or a pick, push the large metal pin towards the passenger side. This will also cause the little white wheel to fall out. Remove the metal tab. Use a flat head to pry it

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine
