Materials wear out very quickly

Wellies wear out almost immediately. Soon after, the plastic tube becomes brittle and breaks. The rubber sleeves on the original tube are still there after 30 years, but the plastic tube is broken. I will not buy this tube again.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Thin rubber for spare parts

I don't know how long the 90 degree bend rubber will last, but it's really thin. I'll replace it with something that isn't paper thin. But otherwise it looks ok. Delivery was on time. And it's the right part for a 1993 Chevy Silverado 5.7 engine.

Pros
  • Waiting
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

A bit long, cheaply made.

As others have said this part is a bit long (maybe 1/8-1/4") and it seems to be very cheaply made. It's not that long that it is that doesn't fit (in my case a 1994 K1500 Suburban with 5.7L TBI), just needs some bending, let's see how long it lasts.

Pros
  • nice item
Cons
  • almost everything is there

I bought this in 2015 for a Tahoe 95.

I bought this in 2015 for a Tahoe 95 to replace a GM original product that had lasted 20 years. It is now 2017 and the hose is showing significant signs of wear. Considering the engine doesn't overheat and I only use the truck on weekends, I can't understand why tires age so quickly. I should note that this is not a bending stress issue. Rubber just ends up aging prematurely.

Pros
  • Special Offer
Cons
  • Useless Features

Quick fix but not for long. Use a 3/8 " fuel line instead.

Fit was decent and it worked well until it broke. Found a vacuum leak and found that the rubber near the throttle body had actually torn One year driven and 3000km The OEM hose is no longer available for these TBI trucks I used a piece of 3/8" ID fuel line it worked great and I didn't have to worry about cracks from heat and oil fumes I don't think the material Dorman uses is rated for the oil fumes that PCV sees.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Fixed idle problem on GM TBI truck

I had an idle problem on a GM truck with a 5.7 liter TBI (350 cid); Tried adjusting the idle but to no avail. I also made sure I didn't have any vacuum leaks and made sure the timing was within spec. Everything was as it should be. I then decided to replace this hose line. The truck is now idling within specification. Upon closer inspection, I had a tear on the 90 degree portion of this hose that went into the throttle body. Did the job.

Pros
  • Great for small homes
Cons
  • Too long to wait
