What it should be

Arrived just in time, great product but no brakes only because there are more problems with the brakes than the master cylinder

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Sometimes you get what you pay forπŸ₯΄πŸ™€

Good price but! It came with assembly in reverse order, I had to take everything out of the new one, put in my original master cylinder to make it work, fine this time πŸ₯΄πŸ€“

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Upgrade available

Check out the pictures at Brake System

This was the second order I have ordered and it did not fit in my truck. Before purchasing, please check the photos to ensure the brake line fittings are the same size as the bores in the cylinder.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Dear

Great price, great quality!

Replacement for a heavily used truck with over 350,000 miles and poor service history! The internal rear oil seal allowed all of the brake fluid to enter the brake booster, which also required the vacuum booster to be replaced.

Pros
  • Permanent Test Results
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Master Cylinder - Brake System

the brake was locked (tow) on my 1999 Ford F150 V8/4.6L, I replaced the front calipers and brake hoses, they are still locked so I replaced the master cylinder, problem solved . My original master cylinder bore was 1&1/16", this new one is 1&1/4", which gives me more stopping power.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons

Easy to install - 1999 Ford F150

This Dorman unit was easy to install on my 1999 Ford F150. However, since I decided to flush the lines, it took some time to fully bleed the system. If you need to bleed a single person, I recommend Holt Industries #57057 Pneumatic Air Brake Bleed with Auto Fill Kit. This kit was very helpful and made it easy to bleed this master cylinder.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old

Spend a little more

The master cylinder never worked. Bench bled out like I should have. Installed, and the pedal still hit the floor. It's too late for me to send it back, so it's basically a warning. The price is good. If you bought one and your brakes still don't work, have them replaced before you spend tons of money on other things. Brand new calipers all around. New brake lines. New ABS module. Completely new braking system. The pedal still hits the floor. Back to the master cylinder. Has been replaced by a…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Upgrade for my truck.

I replaced my 1 1/16" master cylinder with this 1 1/4" everything fit perfectly and these were the best brakes I have ever had. Be sure to buy and use a bleed kit, it will take a long time to fully bleed the air. Great upgrade for my 1999 f150. liters of liquid and less than 2 hours of operation. If my 2003 F150 ever needs a new cylinder, I will choose it. Very little foot pressure is required, be very careful at first as this will increase your stopping power xxx. If you're pulling weight or…
