97' OBS master cylinder replacement for NBS

Finally fixed my sketchy spongy brake pedal on my Chevy 97 c1500 after trying everything else. all you need to swap is a brass adapter, part number blf-26c, and you're done. I would highly recommend it to anyone with an OBS Chevy Truck.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Should be if you have a GMT400

If you have a GMT400 you probably know the soft pedal feel! Remove the old one and install the new one. I vented it before installing; followed by a full reset of DOT3. difference between day and night. Installed on: 99 Yukon SLE 4wd, 4L60, L31(5.7), Automatic Transmission RPO NP8, GT4, G80

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

fails miserably in less than 1000 miles

I bought this for my car, it's a vehicle I rarely use on weekends. was never good at first but as it was rarely used and was off road most of the time I ran it even 1,000,000 miles and it failed. waste of money. had to get ac delco, don't waste your money on that

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Repair

Works Great - Braking System

This is a regular update for OBS Chevy Tahoe. Installed this on a 1999 Tahoe that ALWAYS had a spongy brake pedal feel. The immediate difference was felt upon fitting this unit, even though I didn't have enough brake fluid to fill the reservoir to the min mark. Highly recommended as an update for OBS Tahoe.

Pros
  • Solid Construction
Cons
  • Not Sure

Best alternative to avoid price gouging OEM

If you know how to bleed (or have the tools) this is best value for money. Cheaper than any car dealership in my area. Quick and easy installation after venting if you don't shed like me. It didn't solve my problem, but it's my damn fault.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model

No more sponge pedal.

I used to drive my 1998 Chevy Tahoe. The sponge pedal didn't bother me. So one day my girlfriend was driving with me. And we came to the crossroads, we were right in the middle. So I saw a YouTube video to update the master cylinder. I ordered this one and it was very easy to install. Just needed a sample. Only the brakes work great.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Appearance

Great replacement for a 2000 Silverado 1500

I noticed that my 2000 Silverado's original master cylinder was leaking so I decided to replace it. I chose this master cylinder because I trust the Dorman brand and the price was lower than the local auto parts stores. Appears to be of good quality and tight. Don't forget to deflate it first by following the instructions that come with it. It's been installed for about a month and works flawlessly.

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Problems

Used to retrofit Tahoe 95

Great quality at the best price. I did an OBS update (95Tahoe) and used this MC. Only needed an adapter on one of the lines and it fitted perfectly which increased breaking performance immediately. It comes with bleeding instructions and plugs. No need to buy a boost kit if you don't want to. However, the process of pumping on the workbench with the supplied plugs takes a long time. But hey. Working on your car yourself saves you money, not time. Buy with confidence

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket
