Will not work with wire strippers

Interesting concept: Adjustable spring-loaded wire stripper. Aside from the fact that the problem is that the cutting blades are flat and not the variable sized hole you might expect. So with each new type of wire you have to try many times to find the right setting in the hope that this will strip the insulation rather than cut the wire. He ends up just crushing the wire and not removing the insulation well. I went back to the traditional hand stripper with a choice of hole sizes for different

A useful tool for stripping wires, but there are also pliers

Stripping the wire ends is necessary if these wires are to be live connected. As a newbie to working with electrical circuits, I was surprised at how difficult it is to strip insulation from the end of a wire without damaging the wire itself. The Dowell wire stripper makes the job a lot easier. However, using them effectively also requires a pair of pliers to pry and remove the cut insulation from the end of the cable. I use needle nose pliers which are probably best for this purpose.

THE HOLES ARE THE SMALLEST BUT IT SUCCESSFULLY CUT THE WIRES

I was hoping for maybe a big hole or two to accommodate the larger wires but it was perfect for my kitchen lighting project. I had 7 wires grouped into two groups for kitchen, fan and fan lights, dining room and porch lights. After replacing the roof, the wires came loose and nothing worked. I tried to clean them without this tool but the area was small and it was impossible to work with a knife on such a small area. This is where the old adage "the right tool for the right job” comes to mind…

Great and must have tool

First of all I only write reviews when I have a 5 star experience or a 1 star experience. In this case, it's definitely a 5-star rating. This tool does exactly what I need and each gauge of wire is precisely sized to strip the wires. I am a hobby musician and prefer to make my own cables as well as make my own speaker wire connections. This has helped in several cases. Also, the edges are sharp and the tool has a safety lock, which is crucial for me with my four-year-old grandson standing next…

Cleans wires very well!

This is a pretty good pair of wire strippers at a really good price! The quality is really good and I can easily cut and strip wires. The cutting part is not the biggest. I would use a pair of wire cutters to cut larger wires as these wire strippers don't seem to fully cut 12 gauge wire. After that I had to cut the wires with wire cutters. But they are great for stripping wires! UPDATE: May 5, 2019 --------------- I installed new 12 AWG Monoprice pure copper stranded wire on April 26th. The…
