Great replacement for cheap crappy Ford OEM two piece grommets.

Great replacement for the cheap crappy Ford OEM two piece nuts on my 2010 Ford Expedition EL. Should have bought them a long time ago as I roll over and brake myself by removing the wheels regularly. My last brake job, I've had 3 splits and 6 more, looks like they're coming soon. After comparing Rock Auto's OEM prices I decided that buying 24 of these DPs was the answer and yes they are a perfect fit and RELIABLE. That should have been included in the car, but Ford decided to save $50 on the…

not the best quality, started to rust after 5 months.

Right out of the box I noticed that the chrome plating is sharp and uneven on the edges. I had chrome flakes on my fingers. This is basically where the flat sides of the hex meet near the domed top of the nut. They're all in a large plastic bag, not a plastic bubble like most nuts. I sent them back and bought another set. They have been on the truck for 5 months, the truck is always clean and always in the garage. It hasn't even been 6000 miles yet so they haven't been removed since…

That's what Ford primarily needed in its trucks.

They fit great and look fantastic! I installed them on a 2007 Ford Expedition EL and they fit perfectly. They are light years better than the original equipment. *NOTE* If you have Ford 2-piece "coated" chrome nuts and they start to wobble and chip, you will need to cut off the old chrome covers. with chisel and hammer. Once it pops open you can just peel it like a banana and then use a 15/16 (if I remember correctly) instead of a 21mm socket to remove the pin in the cap. Then grow that junk…

I bought a set of brand new 20 " factory rims from 2015.

I bought a set of almost new 20" factory rims from a 2015 F150 Platinum to make my 2013 look a little better. I wanted to install them, however found that the supplied jam nuts had been changed from M14x2.0 thread pitch to M14x1.5 and didn't work. The original lug nuts were open ended and uncoated which looked like hell against the new wheels. Although it was a bit more, when i was looking to spend i bought these based on feedback from others who have bought them and am glad i did.they fit…

  • Minor issues

I have to say I went through the horrible process of sorting through many different aftermarket cleats after finding my factory cleats to be corroded and bagged. All the lugs I tried had very small lugs, which is dangerous for aluminum alloy OEM rims as they are much softer and require more contact than steel wheels. I HAD TO BUY THEM FIRST, that would have saved me a lot of time and nerves. These cleats are perfect for stock bikes. They look great and are a one piece approach (no chrome cap…

Change yours before it's too late.

I have a 2011 Ford F-150. Last year I noticed some of them falling off the chrome body. I saw these nuts at Revain but never pulled the trigger to buy them. Jumping forward 1 year, I noticed that all my nuts looked bad. It seems like every time it's serviced they get chewed up even more by the impact wrenches these workshops use. Finally, I pulled the trigger and I'm glad I did. Some of them were so swollen and chewed up that I could never replace a flat tire with a pry bar in a truck. Took me…

Great nuts for the price.

I bought these to replace the factory nuts on my Ford F150 pickup. After I had a flat tire and realized the wrench that came with it didn't fit the factory nuts, which aren't worth a damn, I bought them. The problem with factory nuts is that they are coated in chrome or aluminum or whatever and they break when you put a wrench on them. The wrench didn't even fit up to the nuts and when I tried to turn them the wrench slipped, twisted the protective cover and slipped off. I completely ruined one

Solution for bloated ears! Please read if you have a Ford!

If your Ford F-150 has swollen nuts, you need to buy them before it's too late and you won't be able to remove them when you're at the curb. My 2012 F150 had this problem and had to hit the store outlets to take it off. I bought these and replaced them myself in the driveway. Word of wisdom, cold remove the factory tips and use a 21mm breaker and socket. If they are swollen, consider using a 22mm socket. He will feel free, but he will do his job. My factory nut wrench didn't fit my factory…

Just arrived; seem perfect; made by Gorilla

2012 F150 OEM Nuts are a cost effective two-piece construction consisting of a forged nut with a stamped chrome shell pressed onto it; since the nut itself corrodes here in the salty north, the shell bulges and gets stuck in the nut when the nut is pulled off. These nuts are a much more advanced one-piece design. Gorilla makes them and Gorilla sells them in packs of 4; DPAccessories packs and sells them as 24 packs (and other bulk packs) for a cheaper price than 6x Gorilla 4 packs. Most other…
