This grinder will overheat after the first use. I had to grind, then cool for half an hour, grind, cool. Ridiculous. I returned it.

You can't get a cheap Asian "grinder-mixer" in the US. It's small but gets the job done. And it is very convenient to make pastes of spices, onion, garlic, ginger, coconut, etc.

I bought it mainly for grinding spices, it does its job perfectly! Also, it was the only brand I could find that was all steel on the inside of the bowl. All other brands had a black plastic piece under the blade in the bowl.

This machine easily grinds spices. The pulsing can result in a nice coarse grind on even a dry spice mix. After that, the 15-second grind crumbles into dust. It's great that you have transparent inner and outer lids so you can see the results as you work, which is very important to get the particle size you want. Do not use any other device that does not have this function.

Wrong grinder pictured. Didn't have a removable steel bowl and died like cheap junk after the second use. It says that the usage time is only 30 seconds. I used to use a miracle grinder for sanding and I've never had a problem this cheap. Looks like I'll have to use a magic bullet to finish the job it's supposedly designed and built for. lame

First of all I'm not a coffee connoisseur. This is my 1st grinder. I bought this because I really like french press coffee and I wanted to start using freshly ground coffee. I bought this because the grinder jar was separate from the grinder motor. It would make it easier for me to keep the ground off the engine. Cleaning is amazingly easy. I ground my beans for 6 seconds and found that 95% of the beans were coarsely ground. Also, the cord can be stored in the base, which is a nice benefit.

I got this when my old coffee grinder died after 20 years. It always bothered me that the cup didn't come out. I bought this model because it had that feature and was top shelf dishwasher safe.
