Gave 5 stars as it looks like a quality product and I like the idea but it is not compatible with the Regalo Home Accents Extra Tall Walk Thru Gate. It would be better if they provided the screw diameter with the product specs.

Perfect! Got them for the top and bottom of our stairs so I went from banister to banister. If you look at the photos there was a flat spot at the bottom so the included gate hardware worked, but at the top the flat round hardware just didn't work. These gate adapters were extremely easy to install and worked great. The gate is much stronger.

So the railing kit includes two metal brackets that need to be screwed on where regular pull rods enter the child gate. but 1) one of the metal brackets kept slipping when a little pressure was applied to it, weakening the gate, and 2) how the heck am I supposed to attach it if it actually works? The shape of the end is a curved diamond shape that is difficult to twist to adjust the tension, ESPECIALLY when you are close to the railing. So one worked. I've been looking for a gate for a long time because my 18 month old child likes going up and down stairs. My stairs are weird so most of the gates I bought didn't fit. After a while I finally found Dreambaby's Liberty Gate and then saw that I could buy these adapters. I'm so happy I did. Installing the Liberty Gate took about 5 minutes and this adapter just replaces the Gate for you (I only had to use one of these). It fits perfectly in the gate and is quite durable. I definitely recommend it!

PERFECT little extensions to attach a baby gate to the stairs without damaging anything. The soft ends fit snugly onto the spindles. We took it a step further by installing a few extra tie downs and have since enjoyed a 100% stable gate that has had twin babies living in it for over a year with no problems. We have a very wobbly railing that is open on both sides and curves but we really wanted something to keep our daughter from going down the stairs so got it I bought them together with 2 Dreambaby gates. . They work best at the top of our stairs where they meet the thickest part of the solid wood railing. They don't work well on the ground floor where they had to be used on spindles as the spindles will flex when loaded. Basically, the gate will not close or latch properly until it is tightened

I have the wobbliest banister. It's not level, it sits a bit uneven on the edge and overall it's not designed for a baby gate. The problem is that I have a child and steep stairs.
