It works, but it takes practice.

On first use this wood clip is not strong enough making it difficult to cut straight. After a few failures I found that I shouldn't touch it too much, just follow the virtual line and now it works.

Pros
  • Works with either position of the blade (standard flush cut inside and outside)
Cons
  • Expensive

Very easy to use with power tools and hand tools

Bought for my Dremel Ultra saw. It works very well and makes it easy to cut 2x4's with one tool. The only thing you need to adjust is where the saw blade is on the tool when you use it. When using a flush cutting blade, the cutting edge guide must be pushed further back than it is straight.

Pros
  • Suitable for wood 2 x 4
Cons
  • Repair

Too flexible. at Power Rotary Tool Parts & Accessories

At first glance, the build quality appears to be good and the design is square. However, in use it has no mechanism to ensure it sits straight from 2 onwards. Also, due to the flexing of the material, the two sides are not exactly at right angles to each other. Before clamping and cutting, make sure both sides are equal and not bent in any direction.

Pros
  • Built-in clamps for easier gripping of workpiece
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Good tool for working with SawMax

I bought a SawMax kit that came with an angle guide so I got this 2x4 Guide purchased separately. That does the trick, but still the hair is off. Good for rough carpentry work. Maybe with practice I can get him dead on both sides. It snaps in so it's very close to both incisions. Doesn't save time compared to a ski saw, but is quieter and you can attach a dust bag during use. I had to buy a dust bag directly from Dremel, but it only cost a few dollars.

Pros
  • Measure once, cut twice to double the depth of cut compared to Saw-Max
Cons
  • Not sure
