QUALITY PROBLEMS! Shifter Weld BREAKS after 60 days of use

Read reports of cracking welds. I thought it was probably a coincidence. NO, the quality of this product is poor and I do not recommend it to anyone with a shift knob. A broken weld can leave you in the middle of an intersection or worse. It's a security issue

Best Bang for Buck Shifter

Awesome chassis shifter for less than half the price of big brands. Installed it on my e46 325i and it fits and feels great. Also built to a high standard. The included shift knob has a pleasant weight and feels good in the hand. The only downside was that the linkage didn't fit perfectly on the underside of the switch itself. I had to drill out the socket a bit. However, for the price, this is a 5 starter product.

Reliable switch for the price, but check the welds

Pretty good switch, especially for the price. Looks very similar to the Cliq Tuning shifter. The only complaint I have is the part associated with the linkage, controls and throw adjustment. The welds on it look awful and as others have said it can crack. I tried welding mine on for reassurance but ended up melting the bushing (totally my fault) and they sent me a new part. Not the whole manipulator, just the part of it that I needed. I really appreciated the support.

BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK the best of Shifters and Parts

Price: 9/10. Very affordable for a short switch. Installation: 8/10. Installs in 30 minutes without removing the gearbox. Pretty easy, just a few hard-to-reach spots. Quality: 2/10. It took me 2 months to swap before the welds broke as other people mentioned the same thing happened to them. I was driving on the freeway and got stuck like this. I've used the derailleur on hard rides and drifting and it's held up well but broke way sooner than I thought it would. This is a switch that works but…

Get what you pay for.

Works well but took some work. First it arrived with only 3 nuts in the mounting hardware and also 4 bolts and washers. There are complaints of the weld cracking at the base and the weld on mine looked a little substandard so I sandblasted it and put another bead around it. For my g260 rear derailleur, the plastic bushing had to be drilled out a little more. To keep the thread as short as possible, you need to adjust it all the way so that only a safe amount of thread is left. But it looks and…
