Drilled 120 half inch holes in 1/8 " corner

Approximately 120 holes need to be drilled in 1/8" corner for shelving project. I bought a set of 5 bits hoping I would have enough to drill all the holes. I drilled them all with the first bit on a small drill press and the bit is not blunt yet. I used a second bit in a hand drill to make some adjustments after installation and the second bit worked fine too.

Pros
  • Jobber drill bit
Cons
  • I'll write back

Almost all wood

The quality of the bits in this set is excellent. I use it for coolant/grease filled stainless steel. The first bit was impressive - lasted longer than even higher quality brand name bits. However, the remaining bits immediately chipped on the cutting edge, meaning they were not heat treated at a constant temperature. other material.

Pros
  • Power and hand tools
Cons
  • Not sure

The worst. Drill. Is always.

I bought these because I thought they would be a good inexpensive alternative to complete a project. I am drilling rivet holes in the side frame of an SUV so I can install a rivet nut. I drilled the pilot hole with a 19/64 bit (from the same manufacturer) and then finished with a 23/64 bit. Now consider that there are probably 60 holes to be drilled. I did the first 45 with my DeWalt beats until they finally gave out and couldn't take it anymore. I figured getting the last 10 or so holes with 5

  • Electric Drill Parts and Accessories
