Review on πŸ’ͺ Highly Efficient Drillforce Titanium Straight General Purpose Drill Bit: Unleash Precision and Power! by Jason Hinrichs

The worst. Drill. Is always.

I bought these because I thought they would be a good inexpensive alternative to complete a project. I am drilling rivet holes in the side frame of an SUV so I can install a rivet nut. I drilled the pilot hole with a 19/64 bit (from the same manufacturer) and then finished with a 23/64 bit. Now consider that there are probably 60 holes to be drilled. I did the first 45 with my DeWalt beats until they finally gave out and couldn't take it anymore. I figured getting the last 10 or so holes with 5 bits would do, especially since they were cheaper than a single spare DeWalt bit. Well now I know why. I'm not a big believer in "you get what you pay for" because there are often cheaper products that work just as well as brand name products. Well, that is definitely NOT the case. The first piece I tried was promising and went through about 5 holes. After that I didn't drill anymore. to hit number two. A hole. I went to drill the second and nothing but spinning and smoking! Seriously, the second hole didn't drill! I couldn't believe it and thought I must have gotten a failed thing. Hit number three. Three more holes and nothing. Chisel number 4. One hole, you can't drill another. The last bit is number five. I went through two holes and then gave up on hole 3. Well if you add that I still had a few holes to play before I was done. I tried all the bits again, to no avail. So I abused the DeWalt beats and made them do the job that 5 of those beats couldn't do. They may be fine for wood, but they are NOT GOOD for metal! I hate writing bad reviews but sometimes it's inevitable.
