Strong anchors with good build quality. While they can be cut and drilled into drywall with a screwdriver, I've found that pre-drilling 1/4" holes makes the anchoring process easier. I've had a few ends that snap off when tapped without pre-drilling, but this was much better than using plastic dowels that keep breaking.

The best after slicing bread. I've used plastic in the past, but I've found these made of stainless steel that pop up with a regular screwdriver. It is much stronger for hanging items. Defect. You're making a pretty big hole, so make sure you put it in the right spot before you start. Otherwise you will end up with a hole that needs to be patched with a small amount of putty.

They are slightly larger than they appear in the picture. They seem to be holding up well. I use them to hold my water tank to the wall and it seems pretty secure. The only reason I gave it 4 stars out of 5 is that I felt it should break through the wall a little easier. Since I worked in a confined space, I wished for sharper tips. No matter what, it's just a minor nitpick. It is great.

These dowels are good compared to plastic dowels but rubbish compared to other metal dowels. The metal tip broke off in the wall of the first one I used, causing the now-broken anchor to enter the wall at the wrong angle.
