🍾 Drinkmate Carbonation Bottles - Twin-Pack, 1L Size, Black Color Review

For those who have a Soda Sense machine it is ideal for bottled beverages. I have a soda sensei and I wish they could make the bottles smaller. Drinkmate looks very similar, so I grabbed these bottles to try. Of course they have the same design. Very glad I tried these. The date on the bottle is 9/2023.

I can confirm that they *work* with the outdated Primo 110 - that's the only source I've found for replacement bottles. I've missed this machine so much since my wife washed the original bottle in the dishwasher and it melted :-( Now if I could just get equivalent replacement bottles for my old British Sodastream (a model from the days when conventional CO2 was made from rebar with no modifications worked, could find )

There are other photos showing the bottom coming off of these things. Drinkmate took an already imperfect design and doubled it by adding another removable bottom cover. Except NOW when the bottom comes off, you don't even have a clear bottle that will stand on its own! My god, how hard is it to make a plastic bottle out of TWO PIECES. bottle and cap. That's all you need! Or do like SodaStream and give us a glass bottle. It's so sad because I love the product but the vials are missing!

I don't have a soda machine but I love my Diet Coke and usually buy 2L bottles and fill them into empty 16oz plastic bottles for easy transport. I have a couple of steel bottles to keep them super cold and then I found out you can't put fizzy drinks in them because of the pressure. I have tried them and they are really good for my purpose. Hard to believe these bottles couldn't screw properly into my old model Sodastream. The threaded ends have burrs that appear to prevent the bottles from closing properly, leading to the release of water and CO2. I tried cutting them off but the bottom cap of the first bottle fell off before first use, the glue holding the cap in place was either applied incorrectly or not rated for normal fridge temperature. The product arrived in 2 days with my main membership. Items were well packaged and both bottles were in excellent condition. Also, both bottles expire in almost 2.5 years! I really appreciated it. Bottles are fine for carbonation but I have found that once the cap is on I have to open them slowly and carefully to get the Release pressure otherwise the pressure will release with a sudden powerful pop that can actually knock the cap out of my hands if I don't get a firm grip. The bottles themselves are fine but I didn't know they had an expiration date (obviously their "natural aging process" doesn't hold up constantly Print). Okay but I ordered my bottles in August (2016) and they arrived with an expiration date of January 2017. It's $20 for 2 bottles that I'm supposed to be throwing away in less than 5 months.
