Solid top!

I bought a blouse online and found it had a 1 inch tear and the front left shoulder seam was worn. Convenient even if you know how to sew

I've been using Stitch Witchery for years, both for art projects and everyday sewing. Aside from crafting, I use it to attach badges/patches, trim curtains, and adjust the edges of clothing. This should be every student's "sewing kit" (along with safety pins!) - it can be a lifesaver for people who don't know how to use a needle and thread. Dritz Ironing Tape

It took me a little practice to learn how to use this tape, but now that I've sewn a pair of pants it's a real help to me. . It seems to work easier with polyester than denim, but I was able to hem both ways. I am a blind single parent with a 9 year old boy and need hemmed pants all the time. Here's how I do it: I wash my pants, turn them inside out and roll them up to the desired length. Then I sew the back seam with a hot steam iron.
