Check your USB ports if they don't light up!

Okay I bought this item to test a couple of supposedly bad hard drives we have and it didn't work or light up. I tested it on a new drive and it still didn't work. Then I thought the problem was my computer's port, tried a different port, worked great. And for the price, it's amazing. Many Thanks. It is best to buy this cable at least $20-$30. I'm glad I didn't accidentally return it. So if it lights up, it works and so does the drive.

Good investment! Best in Cables and Interconnects

Great product, it worked just as well as the website said. Easy to connect and transfer data. I used it to copy my Mac's internal drive to a new SSD and improve the performance of my old Mac BookPro. Thanks very much!

You can only use the hard drive when using a USB 3.0 or higher port.

I thought that this product in combination with certain software (my choice fell on Samsung Magician) would be better and cheaper than buying a docking station for $ 30-80, and I was don't err either. The build quality probably won't last you forever, but it will last long enough to pay for itself. I noticed a scratch on the blue cable connector which indicates that it will eventually break. It does not work! fits computer accessories and peripherals

Working computers and accessories

This is a SATA III USB Hard Drive Adapter. It works. If you need any of these, get this one and it will work for you too. What else can you say? It has lights that turn on and off. This lets you know that data is being transferred to or from the hard drive. Ideal for restoring old laptop files.

Recently I couldn't turn on my laptop and tried everything I could. The laptop was about 5 years old or so and was pretty beat up. So I removed the hard drive so I wouldn't lose thousands of family photos and videos. I received a new laptop and ordered it hoping it would work. Of course it works perfectly. Plugs directly into my new laptop's hard drive and USB port. I gave up all my stuff. It really turns any hard drive into an external hard drive. This is great if you don't want to spend money

Connector works as a TeslaCam/Music Drive for my setup

Quality could be a little more reliable but so far I can't complain - it works. I use it to connect my SSD to my front Tesla USB port to act as a TeslaCam recorder and for my music. The SSD is partitioned to perform both functions. Below is what I bought to make it work. So far I am satisfied with all components. My situation is to stop and forget. Easy setup and perfect performance!

I bought this adapter to format and partition a new hard drive to replace a failed hard drive on my Linux workstation. I've thought about connecting the drive directly to my motherboard's SATA port and power supply, but I've always wanted one so I thought I'd give it a try.
