🔩 Hollow Wall Anchor Kit - Complete Set of Screw-in Drywall Anchors for Easy Mounting, Including Self-Drilling Fasteners Review

The description of these anchors does not mention the wall thickness they were made for or the required hole size and no instructions accompanied the product. I made a purchase based on the picture shown. I ended up drilling 3/8" holes and found it worked well. So far I've used them for 1/2" drywall and it has worked well. my next use will be on 5/8" thick drywall as well as porcelain tile over drywall. I'm hoping these anchors will hold the extra thickness of the wall.

I'm a bit disappointed with these anchors. I did a test outside the wall and it worked great. Not sure if my drywall was too thick or what, but when I used it to hang a shelf, two out of four didn't work. It's almost as if the end of the screw doesn't line up with the back hole to retract the anchor. I've already put the dowel in the wall and when removing it leaves a big hole. Luckily the two that worked were on opposite shelf brackets and I don't plan on putting anything heavy on them! All in

I was hoping to use these anchors to attach 3/4" batten strips to the wall but the screws are too short to fit the pins catch when thicker material is attached. These anchors can be useful for metal staples, but I wouldn't intend to fasten anything half an inch thick with them. a little more, and the hook mechanism will be broken, and in one case, the lever, which is attached to the back of the drywall, will break off. This was when I carefully hand tightened, so expect some of them not to fail
