Voltage: 3.3-5V, Memory chips: AT24C32 (storage capacity 32K). About battery type: Battery is not included, you can use CR2032 or LIR2032 battery. Feature: The DS3231 is an RTC IC developed by Maxim Integrated. It is a low cost, extremely accurate RTC IC with communication over I2C Interface. An interesting feature of DS3231 RTC IC is that it has integrated crystal oscillator and temperature sensor and hence you don’t have to connect an external crystal. Clock chip: high-precision clock chip DS3231(there are 3 different chips for this clock module, DS3231N,DS3231SN and DS3231M, we send it by randomly.

Everything worked fine, GOOD Clock Module

This is a simple 3231 clock module, easy to hook up and easy to find sketches for it. It also has 2 interrupts that can be accessed through the SQW pin. You can set it to pause once a minute, a few seconds in the future (now()) and I'm guessing once a day. This can be used for many things. Use the alarm sketch to test this. Uses CR2032 battery.

Useful addition to an electronics kit

I needed a clock chip for an Arduino project to keep track of time. I'm not good at programming but there are many videos and tutorials that can help. The product works as expected. I would buy this again.

The modules have different chip versions.

All five modules worked fine in my project, but I only needed a 1Hz square wave. Please note that of the five modules received, two (2) had DS3231M chips and three (3) had DS3231SN chips. The "M" variant does not allow you to change the square wave (SQW) output. If this isn't a problem for your project, have fun!
