Looks like real chrome steel. The fit was a bit loose but is now nice and tight after a few hammer blows. After some "extensive testing" they hold up well at high speeds and polish well. Overall a great item for the price.

I bought this pair of tailpipes for my wife's 'new' 2015 VW Jetta tdi to spice it up a bit. The stock stainless steel tips are okay, but not really something to look at.
