The cable works great and is easy to use, just plug it into your laptop and projector. Then everything is displayed on the screen via the projector. The material is hard and thick.

Made my VGA monitor compatible with 2020

This connector was just what I needed as I only have a VGA monitor and don't want to spend money on a new USB-C monitor. My new Lenovo only has a USB-C port, so I had to use an adapter to use the extra screen. The problem with most adapters I've tried, where the monitor is plugged into one port and the computer into another on the same device, is that when using video calls like zoom, for some reason it wasn't seamless, because my computer was hung. This cable converts the video output from the USB-C port on my MacBook Pro to VGA to power my old Dell Ultrasharp monitor. It does the job, but every time I plug in a cable or start the computer, I get an error saying the device is using too much power. Works in the 2020 iMac 27-in!

I bought this item out of necessity. The other adapter I bought didn't work and I wasn't sure if it would work but luckily it did! My iMac Retina 5K 27 inch 2020 Hope my review helps someone. Good product!
