Description of 🦆 Duck Brand 2.5-Inch x 25-Feet Hold-It Rug Adhesive, Single Roll, White

Simple solution for keeping your rugs in place without damaging what's underneath. The adhesive side sticks to the rug or floor mat. The other side is a high friction, non-slip latex material that sits on your hard flooring surface. Repositionable and removable; adhesive leaves no residue on mat or rug. Safe for most types of indoor hard flooring surfaces.

The carpet still moves freely on the parquet floor

I was very excited that I might have found the right product for my living room carpet. I was/am really disappointed as I sat and watched the cats move it across the floor. I returned it to its place without resistance. Followed T.'s instructions, but the carpet is still a "free-moving object" on hardwood floors.

Pros
  • a practical item
Cons
  • not as good as it promises

If you want a non slip carpet

I prefer this tape to tapes which are very sticky and difficult to remove from the carpet and floor. This band allows you to shift the position of the mat and still hold it very well. However, if the corners of the rug are curled, you will also need corner handles. But generally this is the best way to keep rugs in place, they last a few years but will eventually need to be replaced (like any other rug tape). But it's easy to replace, unlike some.

That's great. It really works.

We have wooden floors and two rails on the floor. The other runner was our energetic dog, who ran down the hallway and ended up in a crumpled mess of carpet and dog. So I was desperate and decided to give it a try despite the questionable reviews. I was amazed and delighted. It absolutely works, even better than I had hoped. The dog still walks, but the carpets don't. Perhaps the secret is that our runners are heavyweight rugs, not lightweight bathmats. But whatever it is, I love this product…

TOTAL LOSS OF MONEY AND DANGEROUS PRODUCT

TOTAL LOSS OF MONEY. Will not stick to wool runners/mats, will not stick to polyester runners/mats or other artificial runners or mats. This is actually a dangerous product because if you walk on it, the mat or runners will slip off. the tape rolls up and can cause the carpet to slip under the person's foot. I am shocked that this product is being sold as carpet tape. It doesn't stick to anything and comes right out from under the carpet when you walk over it. DO NOT SPEND TIME, MONEY OR HEALTH

So far, so good! best mats

god how do i explain this. So far the perfect product I've been looking for - one side is sticky (on carpet) the other side is grippy (on floor). At first I was concerned that the grippy, non-stick, ground-facing side wouldn't provide enough grip and/or stickiness. It turned out that after laying out the mat the next day, the non-stick side actually "got stuck" to the floor as the rug had to be pulled a bit to lift it, even though the non-stick side of the tape wasn't liable. sticky. Not…

Surprisingly it works.

Still working. I have a carpet that has constantly "walked" on a wooden floor. I could easily move it just by pushing with my foot. I placed this tape around the entire perimeter of this rug (5ft x 5ft) hoping for the best but not expecting miracles. I took my time and made sure I'd kicked down the edges of the rug (where the tape was attached) a few times after it was in place to somehow secure it to the floor. I have never tried/tested adhesion. I just left it untouched after stepping on it a

As long as it works!

I am a renter and was really looking for something that needs to be glued to the floor. As this product didn't have great reviews I was skeptical but this was the closest thing to a single sided adhesive (carpet side). We're testing it on 3 runners so far, so my cat loves running on it in the morning. While I hope It was very easy to put on and the mat hasn't moved yet (it's been 2 full days with cats and people walking a lot on these running mats). I can consciously move the carpet with my…

Works very well. for home accessories

People had a piece of rubber coated carpet on the concrete steps leading from their garage to the house. The carpeting had started to peel off the concrete and was tripping over. I bought it because it was supposed to be a PERMANENT ADHESIVE. and that's for sure. I cut a piece, peeled off the leading edge of the paper, and gradually applied it to the carpet as I peeled the paper away. When that was done I removed the other side, ready to be applied to the concrete. Once you "glue" it. If you…
