The material is very thin and I don't think it can hold cold air on its own. The reason I bought this wasn't to hold air, just to serve as a cover. First I wrapped my air conditioner in foil and duct tape. I added this cover to hide everything. Looks perfect! Not suitable for S** **** air conditioner. Actually I didn't get the cover when I bought the air conditioner. But after I have safely stowed it away at home, I cannot avoid buying a suitcase despite the inappropriate dimensions. I taped two caps together and sealed them, but they still gave out something suspiciously electrical or gas(?) with no connection.

This is a little thinner than I would like. It was more difficult to install than other brands I've used and is a bit see through when tightened. It appears to do the trick, but when you touch the air-conditioning you'll feel a slight gust of air - not enough to warrant buying another cover, but enough to notice. I find the cover on the COSFLY room air conditioner to be a bit thicker and have decided to purchase more of these covers for my remaining air conditioners.
