I'm glad I bought this, went to big box stores and they had a cheap imitation product that felt like nylon material, not the same. I've seen the same cheap stuff used in weed seed bags, it's useless. I didn't buy enough here so I had to use cheap stuff for my last row upstairs. Tyvek cannot be replicated, simulated or substituted with cheaper products. If you want the real deal, buy Tyvek.

Finally the look of my restored trailer is finished. Last December I remodeled the south end of my trailer and installed a double pane window, wall wire, insulation with bits of fiberglass inside and styrofoam outside, but that's about all I have. This year I finally ordered tyvek, tape and nails, covered with foam and then attached vinyl siding. Much warmer inside than last winter. Excellent sealing system. Once I have the money I will do the rest of the trailer the same way.

I have never used Tyvek and quickly learned many reasons why it is inferior to 30lb bituminous paper. You need to understand that special nails and staples must be used, otherwise Tyvek makes no sense. It doesn't seal around the nail/staple like it does. I was recently cleaning the shelves in my garage and when I removed a dirty old liner I saw that whoever put it on used Tyvek home wrap. I couldn't think of a better replacement, so I bought a fresh roll and did the same. The packaging was about a foot wider than the shelves but when I folded it formed a nice crease.
