Risk of scalding in the bathroom

Updated my last RV with this shower faucet. Big mistake. I wanted a one button control to make it easier to adjust the water temperature. It does - in micro-increments. If you even clean the handle, the water temperature will be cold or scalded. Very poor design, too noticeable even in a small shower trolley. Got a new 2019 van a few months ago. Of course it is included in the standard package of the same crane. Yes, exactly the same problems. There is definitely a risk of burns. Come on, Dura…

Works very well for indoor use

Our original two-handle shower controls were literally a pain. One handle was rotated clockwise and the other counterclockwise. Very confusing, resulting in unexpected scalding or freezing. By switching to single-lever operation, we get a shower with the right temperature. Ease of installation depends on access to indoor plumbing. Mine was tight behind a small access panel. I was only able to crawl through the lid with one hand in a crowded area with sharp screws, but I managed, I had no leaks…

Ordinary cheap RV plumbing

This plastic RV plumbing always makes me nervous. I like the single lever style, but the body is all plastic, thin plastic at that. This drips out of the shower fitting after the valve is closed. Not sure if this is intentional, but I checked several times to make sure the valve itself isn't leaking (it wasn't). I replaced a twin lever valve that I thought was bad, but found that one I removed was leaking in the exact same spot and the o-ring that was supposed to keep water from entering the…

Bad reputation for a good product.

This product has had some bad reviews but so far I'm very happy with it. It's 100 times better than my original. I found it a lot easier to get the right balance of hot and cold and since you are totally open to both it mixes very easily why not 5 stars because I've only had one with a faucet so far but if I have it there will be more time , i will do some more updates. If you are looking for something real metal look elsewhere, you will most likely need to modify something from home. I've had…

Can be easily turned around for RV parts and accessories

After installation in the RV, the hose connector did not hang well and looked chunky. This is the result of connecting a hose coming from above as shown in the product image. I did not verify the manufacturer before making this change. They probably won't endorse it or honor its warranty, but it's well made and should certainly last a very long time. If the valve is installed correctly, after lifting, there is a hard stop on the left and right to switch it on. Without a water supply (RV pump or

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Slightly torn

My 2018 Winnebago Sunstar 29 1½ came with plastic mounts that creaked constantly. Our shower had traditional hot and cold notes and a shower hose connection on the floor. During operation, both handles rotated in the same direction. Dura Faucet RV shower valve switch with light rotary handle for RV, CI like single lever mixer and brushed nickel, mostly a matter of style and ease of use. Dura Faucet RV shower faucet diverter valve with easy twist RV lever was the only one at a reasonable price…

It would be great if it worked reliably!

Here's the thing folks, RV shower valves are very difficult to install because you're working in tight spaces with awkward plastic parts. It's not that heavy though and this was the second time I've had to replace the exact same model. The first time it was completely my fault for not figuring out the drain lines and not winterizing my trailer. I got it. About 14 months later, the valve failed again for no reason. My trailer was properly deflated and winterized. When I disassembled the valve…

A simple and elegant upgrade for a shower on wheels

This was a simple replacement for a Truck Camper (Lance) dual handle shower control. This Dura faucet has a slightly smaller footprint than the original but easily fits into place. No drilling or remodeling of the shower enclosure required. In fact, this faucet matches the original standard fittings, so I didn't have to change the plumbing fittings or the back wall screw caps. I didn't even open the supplied hardware bag. I also installed the Oxygenics shower head which works great with this…
