As with many reviews (I see now) for this particular item, I received 40 loose batteries in a plain white box, unlike the typical Duracell packaging. It is not so bad. The bigger issue is the lack of the usual Duracell markings and expiration dates on the batteries themselves. They're Duracell Duralock branded and have a manufacturer's code (MN1500), but that's about it (except they're made in China). I usually buy batteries in bulk. You get a much better price and the Duracell quality is top notch. Other alkaline batteries tend to leak. I had this problem with Energizer batteries. I'm not saying that Duracell batteries will never leak or corrode any contacts no matter what you use them for. Leaking normally occurs with almost all batteries.
